Seattle took a 1-0 lead at 3:13 of the second period courtesy of a great play Lucas Ciona. Ciona got the puck into the left corner of the offensive zone and battled for control of it. Ciona spun and took a shot that Brandon goalie Ethan Kruger directed to the right point with his blocker. Simon Kubicek got the puck and took a slap shot. Wedman struck for a second time at 4:11 of the third period to make it a 2-0 T-Birds lead. Andrej Kukuca skated up ice on a three-on-two break with Wedman on his right. In the slot Kukuca feathered the puck to Wedman who knocked it past Kruger for his third goal of the season. Luke Bateman had the second assist on the goal for his first point as a T-Bird.

Brandon cut the lead to one at 9:51 of the third on a power-play goal by Lynden McCallum.
