Team photographer Brian Liesse is introducing T-Birds fans to those connected to the team whose contributions might not be readily visible. We are excited about this project because we get to highlight those that make T-Bird hockey possible through their hard work and dedication to the team and the sport of hockey. We look forward to introducing you to T-Birds staff, accesso ShoWare Center staff, Booster Club members, Game Night Staff, Media, and others who help us celebrate and promote the team and the sport in the Pacific Northwest. Each person highlighted has answered a questionnaire about what they do with the team or how they are connected to the team, and some personal highlights. Brian took the photos of each person in their T-Bird environment.
What do you do for/with the Thunderbirds?
I am an Account Executive! I sell season tickets, flex plans, and group outings. If you’re ever interested don’t hesitate to reach out to me on email.
How long have you been working for/with the Thunderbirds?
I started with the T-Birds in the summer of 2019 as a Public Relations intern. By summers end I joined the team full time.
What is your favorite aspect of what it is you do for/with the Thunderbirds?
That’s a tough one! I’ve only been with the team less than a year and I enjoy all the aspects of what I do. From working with a tremendous staff, to all the great fans I’ve interacted with. Working with the T-Birds has been a dream.
What is the most challenging aspect of what you do for/with the Thunderbirds?
Making it through the summer with no hockey.
What is your favorite Thunderbirds memory?
Another tough one! Since I’ve only been with the team for a short period of time my memory might not be the most glamorous but my favorite T-Birds memory (so far) would have to be Opening Night of this last season. To see what goes into kicking the season off along with all the hard work everyone put in was extremely exciting.
Do you have any pre-game rituals or superstitions?
Not so much pre-game, but during games I always tend to stand in the same area. In the Heritage Club, right above sections 101 and 102. We’ve won a few times when I’ve stood there so now it’s just an instinct to go there haha.
Are you excited for an NHL team to come to Seattle?
Yes extremely. It’ll be great for fans and the city!
What do you enjoy doing when not working for/with the Thunderbirds?
If I’m not at the gym, I’m usually spending time with my family. When the weather likes to play, I’m either out hiking or playing basketball with some buddies.
What position do you/would you play if you were to play hockey?
Goalie for sure! I like the pressure.
Who are the Thunderbirds biggest rivals?
Portland and Everett……GO BIRDS!!
Where can we find you on social media?
