KENT — The Seattle Thunderbirds are pleased to announce that the Best Western River’s Edge Hotel located in Southcenter is the newest T-Bird hotel sponsor.
 

The River’s Edge is five miles from the ShoWare Center and offers a free shuttle to all T-Birds games, in addition to a complimentary airport shuttle, parking and hot breakfast.

 

The River’s Edge has introduced a new promotion that incorporates T-Birds games. Each game night the hotel will have a raffle drawing for all hotel guests two hours prior to the T-Birds game. The lucky winner will receive two tickets to the game that night and a free one night stay at a later date.

 

The River’s Edge offers a special WHL rate of only $89 a night. Fans looking to stay in the Kent area after a T-Birds game, or visiting fans following their teams, should contact the River’s Edge directly for the special WHL rate. The T-Birds hit the road for two games in three days against the Tri-City Americans and the Toyota Center. They play Wednesday, January 13, and Friday, January 15. Both games are at 7:05 p.m. The T-Birds are back home at ShoWare Center on Saturday, January 16, to take on the Kamloops Blazers at 7:05 p.m.
 

T-Birds single game tickets for the 2009-10 season are available online at the T-Birds website and at the ShoWare Center box office. The ShoWare Center Box Office is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday game days at 10 a.m. and Sunday game days at noon.
